SEEDS is a program of the Ecological Society of America (ESA). This club is about promoting ecological science in a number of ways, and to encourage underrepresented students to explore the field of ecology. SEEDS will help aid students in the transition from college to career by broadening students’ perspectives with eco-trips, research internships, grad student panels, and guest speakers.
Past events include:
UC Davis Raptor Center
Bioblitz in San Francisco
Table Mountain Hike
Lake Tahoe Research Center/Camping trip!
Ecology Graduate Student Panel
Stebbins Cold Creek/Lake Berryessa Hike
Mt. Diablo Hike
Marine Mammal Center
California Academy of Sciences
Bodega Marine Laboratory
This organization is open to all students who are interested in learning more about the ecological sciences regardless of major.
Meetings will be held in Storer 2342 biweekly. Meeting times, field trip dates and research projects will be announced at the beginning of each quarter.
