Alliance for Diversity in Science and Engineering – UCD Chapter

Program Overview / Impact

The Alliance for Diversity in Science and Engineering (ADSE) is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to increase the participation of underrepresented minority groups in STEM-related fields within academia, industry, and government. ADSE supports local, graduate student-run chapters across the country that reach out to students and scientists of all ages and backgrounds.

The Davis chapter of ADSE is dedicated to the belief that the UC Davis STEM academic community should accurately represent the diverse population of the surrounding Greater Sacramento area. Our goal is to connect underrepresented minority groups to peers, mentors, and role-models from the Davis community and highlight diverse experiences and non-traditional career paths in the sciences. To support this goal, we host speakers and information panels for STEM professionals and senior students to connect with regional community college, undergraduate, and graduate students.

How to Get Involved

Please contact the UCD Chapter officers at AllianceInScienceDavis@gmail.com with any comments or questions. We meet on the last Friday of every month with exact times and locations announced via email.
