Material Advantage Student Chapter

Program Overview / Impact

The Material Advantage program is a national student organization run by some of the leading professional materials societies in the world: The American Ceramic Society (ACerS); Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST); The Materials Information Society (ASM); and The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS). The Material Advantage program, Material Advantage Student Chapter (MASC), at UC Davis offers students the opportunity to learn more about the fascinating subject of Materials Science Engineering, and provides access to a wealth of professional and academic resources available from ACerS, AIST, ASM, and TMS. Students from all majors are invited to participate.

How to Get Involved

To get involved in UC Davis’s MASC Chapter please contact the MASC Officers at mascucd@gmail.com and find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ucdmasc/.

We typically have two general meetings each quarter with a variety of other events in between, so keep an eye out!  Become an official member at http://materialadvantage.org/ to reap even more members-only benefits from the UCD Chapter.
